The Plumb Line
“Behold, I am setting a plumb line in the midst of my people.” — Amos 7:8
A plumb line is a builder’s tool: a weight on a string, pulled by gravity into a perfectly vertical line. It does not consult the builder’s feelings. It does not negotiate. It simply shows what is straight and what is not.
God says He has set one in the midst of His people — and it is not our opinions, our experiences, or the spirit of the age. It is His Word.
This publication measures against that line. Essays here are confessionally Reformed, anchored in the Westminster Standards and the historic faith that was once and for all delivered to the saints (Jude 1:3). Expect long-form work — theology, cultural critique, exegesis — written with the conviction that truth can be stated plainly, defended rigorously, and applied pastorally. The arguments will be sharp. The aim is not to win debates but to clear the road back to the ancient paths, where the good way is (Jer. 6:16).
Objective truth exists. A is A — because I AM is I AM.
